The Carnival of Venice is an annual festival ending with the Christian celebration of Lent on Shrove Tuesday, or Mardi Gras.
The festival is world famous for its elaborate masks, which were historically used to used the wearers identity and social status during promiscuous or decadent activities.

Each sculpt has been originally sculpted from clay, giving the pieces an organic and dynamic feel. The finished clay sculpt is then taken to be moulded and each subsequent piece will be carefully hand cast using marble resin and the finishing touch is the skilful application of hand-painting and finishing which brings the sculpt to life.
